I have been a member of Sunridge Church since February of 1999. In March of 1999, I gave my life to Christ and I'm happy to say that my husband, Mike followed along soon after that. Our two oldest children - Tristin and Darren have been a part of the Sunridge Family since they were 1 and 2 years of age and our youngest - Jason has been attending since he was 10 days old. We learned early on that prayer is a mighty force. Before we became Christians and moved to this area from Ventura County, we were living an "interesting" life-style apart from the Lord. But, without our knowledge a group of people in this area were praying for us. My sister Mary and her husband, John had asked their TLC (aka Life Group) to pray for us. My sister had even put my husbands name on her bookmark one year as the person that she was specifically praying for. This group of people were praying for us during a very scary time in our lives and we didn't even know it. Months after accepting Christ and joining our our TLC (Life Group) we met several of those families. Talk about taking our breath away! We knew that the Lord had a plan for our lives and that he had brought us here for reasons that we may not know this side of Heaven. He allowed us to see early on in our walk that prayer really, truly matters and that nobody is out of His reach. God IS my strength and my desire is to be contagious for Christ in everything that I do!
