The Passion of Jesus

He split time in two.
He is the first.
He is the last.
He is everything in between.
He is conqueror.
He is redeemer of the broken hearted.
His is the restorer of relationships.
He is healer of all wounds.
He knows the innermost parts of my heart.
My Provider.
My Champion.
Powerful Advocate.
He is trustworthy and true.
He holds the stars in His hand!

Wars are waged against Him......He is victorious!
Lies are broadcast about Him......He is truth!
Governments try to crush Him......He is sovereign!
Legislators work to erase Him......He is ever-present.
Schools no longer pray to Him......He is our intercessor.
The media scorns His name......His name gives life.
Evil tried to kill him......HE LIVES!

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We are healed.
We have hope.
We have victory. Jesus died on the cross for us.
We are the passion of Jesus Christ.
A Note from Lynn
Hi My Friends,

Girls, this is one of my favorite months. I am undone when I contemplate God becoming man, who then died, and rose to life on the third day.

Redemption.

Jesus has redeemed our past, our present, and our future. He has redeemed our eternity. Wow!

Our broken hearts: Redeemed
Lost innocence: Redeemed
Fractured relationships: Redeemed
Unmet expectations: Redeemed
Selfishness: Redeemed
Destructive decisions: Redeemedlynnd

Jesus has written His powerful name across every part of our lives. How could we remain quiet about His love? Let's share it this month with a world that is desperate for healing.

Be Blessed, Lynn

Women's Ministry Poll
Pam, Katie and I, sincerely desire to make Women's Ministry something to help women of our church grow in their faith walk. We are already working with some ideas for our fall studies. We are hoping you will help us.

At Sunridgefamily.org on the Women's Ministry page we are taking a poll. We are reaching out to you and asking your opinion about future events we are considering. We would be so grateful to have you to pop over there and take a few minutes to give us your opinion. Click here for the Sunridge Women's Poll.
Thank you.
Meet Amanda
Amanda Carrillo and her husband Joe live in Murrieta with their two small boys, Aidan and Cruz. Amanda has a long faith journey tied to Sunridge Community Church.Amanda

Amanda grew up in a spiritually mismatched home. Her mother's faith became part of her life which led her to Christ. She was saved as a teenager when she attended a Sunridge summer camp. It was also during this time that her father, who she deeply respected, came to faith in Christ.

After high school Amanda attended, Laguna College of Art and Design, obtaining her degree in fine art. She is an accomplished artist and recently painted a large mural for the Women's retreat.art3

It was in college, however, where her faith traveled down the Prodigal path. She struggled, lost in the world for several years. As she approached the last year of college, God began to tug on her heart, drawing her home.

While attending the University, Amanda met Joe at a restaurant where she worked. Joe asked her out and on their first date their conversation turned to faith. They both realized they were searching for purpose and meaning in life. They were searching for God.

Their second date didn't take them to some fabulous restaurant but they both went to church. Amanda rededicated her life to Christ and Joe was saved. They married right after Amanda graduated and have attended Sunridge ever since.

Amanda's love for Jesus has grown passionately ever since. She serves in Women's Ministry as the Coordinator of MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers. This is an outreach where young moms who are unsaved are invited to meet other moms. They and their children are welcomed to a safe environment and the salvation message is shared in a way to touch these young mom's hearts.

Amanda says, "I struggled for years, never feeling good enough to be accepted by Christ. But finally, I know I am free through Him. I am free of guilt and I am living the abundant life. All the sufferings in my life, big and small, are what bring me closer to Him, and I am so grateful for that!"

Life Verse: Romans 5:1-3
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
Recipes
With a Passover Focus
Our recipes this month are centered on the first Passover. You can make these recipes with your kids and they will help you create a fun teaching time. You have an opportunity to talk to your children about the original Passover. After reading the Biblical account of the first Passover, watch the movie, Prince of Egypt, with your children. It is an animated film that tells the story of the life of Moses until the time that he led the Hebrews out of Egypt and across the Red Sea. Then talk about how Jesus was the final sacrifice at Passover.

You can make the flat, unleavened, Matzah, bread and top it with homemade butter to eat during the movie.
Ingredients; Unleavend bread
5 cups flour
1 2/3 sticks butter
1 pint whipping cream

Method

Mix together flour, butter and cream. Knead until mixed. Press onto cookie sheet and bake at 450 degrees F (or 230 degrees C)for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.

Unleaven bread originated as a result of God taking the children of Israel out of Egypt. They were in such a hurry to leave that they did not take the time to let their bread rise, thus the term 'unleaven' (or not lightened) bread. When the order was given to leave they quickly packed their unbaked, unrised bread dough into their back packs and started across the desert. The desert heat baked the bread into flat matzah. Actually any kosher bread recipe can be used as long as you DO NOT ALLOW it to rise. You can buy unleavened bread in many stores today, it is called matzah, matso, matzos or (pl) matzoth.
Ingredients: Homemade Butter
Heavy cream
A Jar with a lid
Preparation:
1. Fill a jar halfway with heavy cream (baby food jars work great for small batches), and screw the lid on tight. 2. Shake the jar up and down until the cream thickens and begins to stick together. 3. Then, open the jar, and pour any remaining liquid into another container; this is the buttermilk. Everything else is butter.

Lives!

John 11:25 Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.
