I was a first round draft pick of the Los Angeles Lakers in 1984. Because of the lack of talent and leadership on the team during my rookie season, I was quickly thrust into the role of team captian. I was basically the coach on the court during the championship seasons. It was tough, but my competitive nature carried the team. Not to brag, but I was voted "most humble" by my teammates. Then right before the start of the 1987 season, I injured my back. Little did I know then how severe. It basically ended my career. I'm not sure who was more devistated, me, my team mates, the team owner, or the fans. Somehow, we all moved on...
In the years that followed my injury I found that despite the incredible pain in my lower back, I was a truly gifted golfer and joined the PGA Tour. Immediately my presence on the tour was felt. The television ratings shot through the roof everytime I teed it up. In my rookie season I won my first Green Jacket at the Masters as well as landslide win at the US Open. After only two season on tour, I found a very special lady who loved me almost as much I love myself. So I decided it was time to stop playing games and get married.
In 1989 my wedding was spectacular, of course. I rented the island of Maui to host the event because I didn't want to be disturbed. As you can imagine, my wife was thrilled with me. I've been the perfect husband, providing my wife with love, security and even two wonderful children. They are beautiful, they look just like me. My life is great.
That's me in a nutshell. I hope you enjoyed reading about me as much as I enjoy me.
